A piano monster festival is a piano ensemble performance given by pairs of performers playing piano four and eight hand repertoire simultaneously on multiple pianos. The performance takes place on stage and is led by a conductor.

The festival is a noncompetitive event for students from 5th grade to adults. Students from piano studios around the state prepare selected repertoire ahead of time. They then come together to rehearse and give a concert.
